My friend Jennie D made this necklace for my mom. My mother grew up in Alaska around Russian churches and loves them and their crosses. I have a few things Jennie has made for me too. She is great with jewelry. She lives in a small town in Nevada named Elko, where she has many adventures and I miss her.

At a time where everyone is wearing the most annoying and boring shoes ever (aka flip flops), which I try to avoid unless I'm at the beach or near a pool, I'm glad to see some people showing some style and wearing boots. I, of course, will have to wait til fall because I can't deal with this heat. Sandals for me.
